Dr. Mighion has taken the four continuums of the Pankey Institute. These four-day classes form the foundation of most of modern dentistry. In addition to these classes Dr. Mighion has taken the Master’s class with one of the world's most distinguished lectures, Dr. Frank Spear.

Dr. Spear has his own seminars. Dr. Mighion has taken all three of his lecture courses. They are entitled Creating Esthetic Excellence, Demystifying Occlusion, and Treating the Worn Dentition. The titles explain what each of the two and a half day courses focus on.

Dr. Mighion is an original member of the Greater Forsyth Dental Study Club. This study club includes specialists and local dentists. They meet to discuss challenging cases, new techniques, explore how different perspectives shape treatment options, and they bring in nationally recognized speakers to improve patient care. The study club is a member of the Seattle Study Club organization.

Dr. Mighion is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. One of the most recent courses he took was a hands-on two-day course taught by the nationally recognized Dr. Ross Nash. The two days were focused on esthetically treating the front 10 teeth. One day involved changing teeth in ways that were accomplished in one visit. The most commonly known technique studied is called Bonding. The second day covered the many different options to change teeth involving Veneers and Crowns that require teaming up with a high quality dental laboratory.

Over his career, Dr. Mighion has taken over 1,100 hours of continuing education. It is not possible here to cover even all of the different courses Dr. Mighion has taken.
